Wheelersburg, Ohio, Rick now lives with his wife and family in Calhoun, GA. Rick has been in the reforestation since 1979 and has over 33 years’ experience. Rick manages the business and finances for the company along with personally being on the job sites for 2-3 months during reclamation season for our VA, WV, KY, and TN mine reclamation projects. Rick initiated a Native Shrub Diversity study of 20 different native Appalachian shrub species planted on 6 different mine sites in 3 states and worked with the University of Kentucky, Virginia Tech, and West Virginia University to implement projects to study the survival and growth of native hardwoods on mined lands.
