Andrew graduated from West Virginia University with a B.S. in Wildlife and Fisheries Resources with minors in Conservation Ecology and Agriculture and Natural Resources Law.
He was awarded an M.Ag. in Natural Resources and a certificate in University Teaching.
He also worked as a Gator Trainer technician for several graduate students and was a lead field biologist conducting avian point count surveys.
Andrew taught biology during his graduate program and researched the ecological impacts before, during, and after a wetland restoration.
He also led the woody vegetation installation and maintenance at multiple sites and published guidelines for streamline mitigation restoration efforts.
Andrew realized his passion was involved in the restoration of degraded streams into functional ecosystems and educating the public regarding the importance of these actions.
